Who We Are
Our Essence At the Aid & Wellness Alliance for Sustainable Outcomes (AWASO), we are more than an aid organization; we are a dedicated partner in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s journey toward resilience. We believe that true community health is holistic, requiring a balance of accessible wellness resources and sustainable practices that protect both people and the planet.
Our Mission in Action We strive to empower individuals through solutions that prioritize long-term sustainability over short-term relief. By creating accessible programs from clean water to vocational training we inspire positive change and build the foundation for a healthier, more resilient society
What We Do
01.
We improve community health by drilling and rehabilitating boreholes, conducting geophysical surveys, and constructing rainwater harvesting systems in schools to ensure long-term access to safe, clean water.
02.
We drive economic independence through vocational training in tailoring, soap production, beekeeping, and telephone repair, providing women with the tools and expertise needed for self-reliance.
03.
Our team provides community health services, including malaria prevention, and the management of acute malnutrition (MAM & SAM) through dedicated community nutrition centers
04.
We establish safe spaces and Child Help Desks to strengthen referral pathways, while providing Case Management training and psychosocial support for survivors of Gender-Based Violence.
05.
We ensure children affected by crisis remain in school by providing scholastic materials, rehabilitating classrooms, and offering specialized bursaries for orphans and vulnerable youth.
06.
— Emergency Response & Resilience
We provide rapid relief including food, shelter, and medicine to areas in crisis, while training local populations in disaster management to increase their resilience against future threats.
